SafeTALK – Abbeyfeale A Great Success

Community Crisis Response Team Ireland are dedicated to informing communities on the training, skills and information available to the public through facilitating events locally.

LivingWorks safeTALK course is a 4hr 15minute certified workshop on recognising the signs that someone may be suicidal, and teaching people how to link a person in distress to an ASIST trained person in your community or further help.

SafeTALK took place in Abbeyfeale last week and we are delighted to say that 17 people left the training more aware and more skilled to help a person in distress.

We would like to thank Noel of Fr. Casey’s GAA Club who provided facilities for our event and also providing refreshments on the night. Also a big thanks to Louise from the Suicide Prevention Office in Limerick for travelling out and running the training.

Another 17 people more Suicide Alert in our communities, together we can save lives!
